Methamphetamine pills, known in Thailand as "yaba" (Bangkok Post photo)Narcotics suppression police arrested a man and three women with 100,000 methamphetamine pills and five kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, or ice, in Bangkok's Thawi Watthana district on Saturday night. Pol Maj Gen Tanai Apichartseni, a Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) officer, said that NSB police, acting on information from secret agents, stopped two cars -- a white Toyota and a brown Honda -- for a search at a spot on Phutthamonthon Sai 3 Road at about 11pm. Travelling in the two vehicles were Manas Pranee, 36, Bussakorn Rakpracha, 35, Supatra Wannasut, 31, and Chotiros Nalinthong, 33, all of Bangkok's Nong Chok district. Found in the cars were 100,000 meth pills in 50 bundles, and five kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, or ice, in five bags. The four suspects were initially charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell.
